Research description

The research summarises the prospects of consuming methanol and isobutylene in MTBE production and isoprene production (as well as isoprene rubber production). The report covers the following aspects:

1) global production, feedstock and consumption of MTBE within medium-term period;

2) technologies of isoprene synthesis and required raw materials, dynamics of global production and consumption of synthetic rubbers;

3) global methanol production and consumption, including production of formaldehyde, and prospects of their transformation within medium-term period;

4) global isobutylene production and consumption, including medium-term forecast.

The research is based on Russian and foreign publications (mainly published in 2013-2015) and contains forecasts of the mentioned products and markets up to 2018-2020.
